On Thursday night I went to a sparsely attended Grad celebration at SFU Surrey which consisted of some mingling, appys, and one prof giving a 5 minute speech. Friday, despite not having to work, Sara and I woke up at 6am as we had to make our way through rush hour traffic and up Burnaby mountain for my convocation. There, I got into my gown and cap and had time for a photo with some other friends that are graduating before we had to all line up. Sara went over to meet up with my family and grandma. The grad ceremony was actually shorted than scheduled and shorter than any others that week since they weren't giving out any honorary degrees. No photos of this yet, but my dad should be sending me some.
After everyone took photos of me with random family members, I returned the cap and gown and we went off the hill to have some lunch at White Spot. Well, Sara had to go because her sister was also graduating.
In the afternoon we hung around at my grandma's house in Cloverdale and then went disc golfing over in Langley.
Then that evening Sara and I went to the Relay for Life. It was lots of fun except for a little rain and they dropped some events off the agenda. At least we got to listen to Batman sing. I took some videos of that.
The relay went from 7pm - 7am and then we went out for breakfast.
Then the next day after only a few hours of sleep I went over to Sara's and met her grandma and aunt. They were in town for her sister's grad. Then I headed to Commercial drive to meet some of my family at a pub. My brother just turned 19.
