The next day we were at East Point, which is the farthest corner of the island from where my parents live (although it only takes 20 minutes to get there). They have some crazy rock formations on the slope down to the beach and this time I didn't forget my camera.
She got sucked into the rock...oh well...I've got 4 more siblings anyway.
The water had way too much fun molding the rocks in this section.
We walked around the point and then we went back up to our cars, but at the time there was a whole bunch of people showing up. They told us that someone had sighted killer whales coming toward the point so we headed back down to the beach. We saw a lot of boats off in the distance - whale watchers and fisheries boats zooming between them telling them when to back off or spread out and not to cut in front of the whales' path. About 15 whales swam by about 15 feet from the shore or so.
Later I went swimming in the ocean, although that was at a different beach. It was a pretty relaxing weekend, and nice to get away from the city for a couple days.

Saturna sure is fun, Tom. But not when you're sick for forty-eight hours and can't eat anything. And how did you enjoy devouring little lambs?
The lamb was alright. I am not a fan nor am I a critic of it. I do not think it is the singular reason to come to the bbq. I came to see family.
That third picture, the extremely blue one is gorgeous.
Hmm I love the idea behind this website, very unique.
